The climate is maritime. Winter is mild and windy, with little snowfall, spring is sunny, summer is cool, and autumn is rainy. The terrain is mostly flat. The population of the city is about 3,600 people. Altitude - 47 m.
In Shabla there is a school, an Orthodox church, a community center, various types of shops, restaurants, hotels, guest houses, a municipal children's complex, a kindergarten, doctor's and dentist's offices and all modern conveniences and communications - internet, satellite TV, digital telephone exchange, coverage to all mobile operators.
A sewage system has been built and is functioning in the city. A plan for gasification of the settlement was approved. The roads are in very good condition. Regular bus transport connects Shabla with the regional center of Dobrich, our sea capital Varna and the settlements in the area.
