Balchik is a Black Sea town and is located in northeastern Bulgaria, Dobrich region. The town is located next to the famous resorts of Albena, Golden Sands, Kranevo, as well as the cities of Varna and Kavarna. The climate is mild and this allows the development of summer tourism. The village is known for landmarks such as: The architectural and park complex "The Palace", which was the summer residence of the Romanian Queen Maria; The Botanical Garden - contains the second largest cactus collection in the world, as well as many other unique and rare plant species.
