The property that we offer for sale is located in the village of Zlatna Livada where the oldest monastery is located. The nearest town is 13 km. away-Chirpan and 60 km.away from the big town of Stara Zagora (the sixth largest city in Bulgaria). The nearest international airport is located in Plovdiv, 50 km. away.
The area provides excellent condition for cultural and eco-tourism. The ancient St. Atanasii Monastery stands to the south-west of the village, at the foot of a steep hill, on a plateau on the right waterside of the river of Starata Reka. Furthermore, the monastery boasts a thermal spring. The Monastery is the eldest one in Eastern Europe.
There are remains of an old-time Byzantine fortress to the south of the monastery. Besides, there are excavations of Thracian settlements in the area. The magnificent river of Maritza passes 2 km. away from the village and is appropriate for fishing and sunbathing.
