The village is located in Sakar Mountain. Sakar is one of the richest Bulgarian areas in terms of endangered birds of prey populations. Sakar is popularn for the wines produced in the region, but tobacco growing is the leading occupation. The region's most important administrative centre is the town of Topolovgrad in Haskovo Province. It is calm and charming.
