The climate is moderate-continental, strongly influenced by the proximity of the Black Sea. Winter is mild but windy, spring is sunny and cool, summer is warm, and autumn is rainy. The terrain is mostly flat. The population numbers about 140 people.
Infrastructure

There are two grocery stores, a small pub and a community center in Granicar. The village is fully electrified and water supplied. It has coverage of all mobile operators, a digital telephone exchange. The roads are in good condition. Regular bus transport connects it with the municipal center of Shabla and the surrounding villages. The village is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful nature. The proximity of the village to the village of Durankulak, the Durankulak lake and the seashore, offers its residents and guests countless opportunities for a picnic, beach, fishing, walking or sightseeing of cultural and natural attractions.
