The village is located by the river Kamchia next to Longoza. The relief is hilly-flat. The long forests around the village are typical for the northern Black Sea coast with their inaccessibility, rich vegetation and many biological species.
The climate is temperate-continental, influenced by the proximity of the Kamchia River and the Black Sea. It is characterized by cool summers, rainy autumns, mild winters with scarce snowfall and sunny springs. The population is about 1,500 people. Altitude - 31 m.

There are over 40 tree and shrub species in the reserve, among which the field ash, elm, lianas, ivy and others predominate. In the swampy parts and estuaries of the reserve, which are difficult for man to access, reign the extremely rare and recorded in the Red Book marsh snowdrop, white and yellow water lily. The fauna and birds are diverse and interesting - 39 species of fish and 156 species of birds find their ecological niche in the reserve KAMCHIYA, which allows lovers to see the sea eagle or owl, black stork or heron. For those seeking encounters with wildlife locals people offer a walk on one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe - KAMCHIA.
