The population is about 980 inhabitants. The climate is temperate-continental and is characterized by hot summers, sunny autumns, cold winters with heavy snowfalls and fresh springs. The relief is flat. Altitude 150m.
The village is part of the municipality of General Toshevo, Dobrich region. It is located 90 km from Varna and 88 km from the airport, 35 km from the town of Kavarna, 43 km from the golf courses and is close to the lake of the village of Durankulak (border with Romania).

The village has a school, kindergarten, community center with a rich library, Orthodox church, town hall, grocery stores, coffee shop, playground, small park, post office, doctor's office. The village is supplied with water and electricity, the roads are in good condition. Regular public transport connects Spasovo with the municipal center General Toshevo and the surrounding villages. The village is quiet and peaceful, and the area is ecologically clean, away from industrial production. Near the village is the large administrative center of Dobrich.
Landmarks
22 km east is the Durankulak Lake Nature Reserve, which offers unique opportunities for fishing, cognitive tourism (on the island in the middle of the lake was discovered a temple of the goddess Cybele from the 3rd century BC) and recreation in the beauty of untouched nature. The territory of the lake is a natural habitat of many protected bird species, which makes it an attractive destination for lovers of ornithology.
