Vratsa stands about 112 km away from Sofia and the international airport and it is definitely a site of immense tourist interest due to the proximity to the Balkan Mountains and the Vrachanski Balkan Nature Park.

The region in the North-western part of the country is a great and attractive spot for extreme sports, mountaineering as well as for fishing and hunting.
