The village is 18 km north of Sungurlare, 80 km northwest of Bourgas, 27 km north of the town of Karnobat and about 390 km east of the capital Sofia.

It is located at an altitude of 450 m. Not far away is the Kamchia dam. The climate is characterized by mild winters and hot, dry summers.

The population is about 460 people. There is a regular railway transport. The village is electrified, supplied with water and with a sewerage system. There is a town hall, community center, post office, shops, church and family hotel.

Podvis is suitable for eco, rural and wine tourism, due to the clean air, fertile soils and its location - in the area between Karnobat and Sungurlare, which is known for its well-developed wine traditions.

In the town of Karnobat there is a clock tower, a city museum, as well as the houses of Nikifor Minkov and Saroolu Bay, which are interesting with their wood carvings.

In the town of Sungurlare you can visit the church "St. Archangel Michael" and the Museum of Wine and Viticulture.

Probably the best estate agent in Bulgaria. As a recently married couple looking to give up the grind of 8-6 mon-fri rat-race lifestyle... but without enough money to actually do so at home in the UK.
