The population numbers over 1200 people. The relief is hilly-plain, there are bizarre rock formations in the area. The climate is temperate-continental, influenced by the proximity of the Black Sea. It is characterized by cool summers and mild winters. The old name of the village was Momino. Altitude - 360 m.

In the village there is a community center with a library, a food market, shops for food and industrial goods, a post office, a gas station, cafes, 5 inns, an emergency medical center, a dentist's office, a pensioner's club, an Orthodox church built in 1868, family hotel, football stadium with adjacent sports facility, astronomical observatory.
The village has a very good infrastructure - the roads are in good condition, there is a good transport connection with the regional center of Varna and all settlements in the municipality.
