Dolishte is a village in Northeastern Bulgaria and is part of Aksakovo municipality, Varna region. It is located 18 km north of Varna, about 20 minutes by car from Varna International Airport.
The village is surrounded by deciduous forests. It is located in the picturesque Batovska Valley, which is the only gorge between the city of Varna, the Black Sea and the Danube River. The relief is hilly and flat. The climate is temperate-continental and is characterized by hot summers and cold winters with abundant snowfall. In the past, the village was called Vlahlar.
The population of Dolishte numbers about 240 inhabitants, and several English families also live in the village.
A very good infrastructure has been built in Dolishte: post office, community center, grocery stores, cafe, tourist complex, town hall, health service, park, sports ground, Orthodox church, hunting lodge. The village has water supply and electrification. Regular bus transport connects the village with the city of Varna and the surrounding villages.
