General Toshevo is a small town in northeastern Bulgaria. It is located 24 km from the town of Dobrich, in the Dobrich region, and is close to the border with Romania. The city is the administrative center of the General Toshevo municipality. The municipality includes 41 settlements, the largest of which are Kardam, Spasovo, Krasen, Rositsa, Vasilevo, Preselenci. Until 1942, the name of the settlement was Kasamköy or Kasam. It is named after General Stefan Toshev. It has been a city since 1960. The population numbers about 8,000 people.
