Bourgas port to explore new possibilities for cruise tourism development The Bourgas port is likely to become part of the cruise region: Sea of Marmara – Mediterranean Sea with a starting and an ending point – the city of Istanbul, latest news reveal.

Representatives of the port participated in the International Cruise Exhibition that takes place from 20 to 23 January in Cartagena, Spain. During the forum, they met the managers of prominent international cruise companies and the representatives of leading travel agencies specialized in passenger trips.

The Association of the Mediterranean Cruise Ports also takes place in the International Exhibition. It aims at developing the cruise industry in the Mediterranean Sea and its pertaining seas. The Association includes 73 members that represent more than 100 ports across the Mediterranean Region encompassing the Black Sea, the Red Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.

The cruise business requires not just one but several ports in order to form a truly advantageous destination for the ship-owners. Considering the situation in Ukraine and Russia, where a big part of the attractive ports are disposed, the cruises only in the Black Sea are not so preferred. The Bourgas port has the advantage to be the first port in the Black Sea that has very good conditions for the largest cruise ships!

Probably the best estate agent in Bulgaria. As a recently married couple looking to give up the grind of 8-6 mon-fri rat-race lifestyle... but without enough money to actually do so at home in the UK. We have always been adventurous, but after watching the series ‘Ben Fogle: New Lives in the Wild’, the idea of just quitting our jobs and moving away to start something completely new, suddenly seemed very doable. We turned to the internet for answers and based on the budget we had and the lifestyle/climate we were looking for, Bulgaria seemed to be the place for us. So after hours of trawling through websites, and countless emails back and forth with various estate agents throughout Bulgaria, it quickly became apparent that there is a lot of choices out there and ‘viewing trip’ was in order to see it for ourselves. We booked some tickets and flew over to see how it could be possible to buy a whole house for less than your standard deposit back home. In order to view some of these properties, in the beginning, we were in talks with a number of different agents and even a lawyer!, but the only person who actually seemed to care about helping us find our dream home that was right for us (and not about taking our money), was a lady called Kiki from BulgarianHouse.com. So after coming home, now with a better understanding of what your money can buy, the different things to look out for and the vastly different regions of the country, we asked Kiki to assist us with our search. With this newfound knowledge and her help, we quickly condensed a list of 30 potentials down to just 2, and then after Kiki did some investigation into the legal side of both the properties, we made our choice. When it comes to customer service, she helped us every step of the way, from suggesting houses that offered what we were looking for to guiding us through the legal process and completing the sale. She has consistently delivered on her promises and has always been just a phone call or message away - Which actually helped alleviate a lot of the possible anxiety linked to buying a house in another country… Not to mention choosing to do right in the middle of the Brexit negotiations. To be honest, the whole process has been a breeze with her help and I would certainly recommend her and BulgarianHouse.com to anyone who is looking to do the same. Now the sale is complete and the house is ours, we couldn’t be happier and plan to take the leap in the new year. Thank you for all your help Kiki Tia and Lee
