Europe poured more than EUR 160 million for rural tourism in Bulgaria
About BGN 175 million from the program for developing in rural areas in Bulgaria will be invested in projects for development of the rural tourism in Bulgaria. Currently in the offices are collecting projects which after approval will receive finding through this program period. Included are and the funds from the European subsidies that have not been used by the farmers since 2007.Financing of tourist properties will become in two criterions: 312th for micro factories and 311th- for diversification of non-agricultural activities. The total recourses in both criterions amounted to nearly BGN 160 million.
Subsidies are granted for renovation of old houses and tourist trails, creating horse facilities, tourist advertisement. In the places, regions in Bulgaria where there are cultural and historical attractions will found projects for making them popular.
Since 2007, State Fund ”Agriculture” has approved nearly 600 projects in two of the criterions(points) that finance business in the Bulgarian villages. Over the past two years have been created micro factories with funds of BGN 120 million. BGN 45 millions more are approved for none-agricultural activities.
