Most Bulgarian beaches with water of excellent quality
According to the Annual Report of the European Environmental Agency more than 60 beaches in Bulgaria have sea water of excellent quality. 12 beaches in and around the Bulgarian Sea Capital of Varna are in impeccable condition, more specifically, the coastlines in proximity to the resort complexes of Riviera, Kamchiya, Kabakum, St. St. Constantine and Helena and Sunny Day. The best assessed beaches north of Varna are Albena, Balchik and Kranevo. The analysis of the European Environmental Agency encompasses approximately 22 000 coastal and inland places for swimming located in EU-member states, in Switzerland and Albania.
This analysis includes 94 coastlines in Bulgaria total. 62 of them are in excellent condition. More than 95 % of those places meet the minimal safety and quality requirements and 83 % thereof are regarded as excellent.
