Regional cities contribute to property sales growth Slight property sales growth is registered in regional cities in Bulgaria. Property transactions have risen by 1,42% on annual basis in the third quarter of the year. According to recently released data of Bulgarian Agency 59,465 homes have been sold in the country within the period between July and the end of September. The growth is slow yet but bigger compared to the previous quarters.

Sales in bigger regional cities amount to 53% which is a growth from 30,155 in 2012 to 31,767 in 2013. The capital city of Sofia has one of the largest share of sold properties with deals rising from 4,210 in the third quarter of last year to 4,536. The growth of 7,74% passes the average level for regional cities and this is a sure sign that buyers return. Plovdiv accounts for an increase of 7,64% on an annual basis.

Burgas is the region with the steadiest sales increase with transactions growing by 23,43% especially during the summer season. Thus, the tourists’ number is jumping too. Russians and Ukrainian tourists are the main visitors in Bulgaria for holidays.

Local media report that the property market near the sea is recovering and thus attracting more and more tourists. A transaction increase by 20% is registered. According to recent data, 109,636 property deals were made during the first half of the year. Their number for the previous year was much lower – about 79,995 real estate transactions in 2012.

This was our first experience of buying a property abroad, and The whole process was managed and controlled by KiKi, due to Covid 19 we were unable to travel to Bulgaria to sign and complete the documentation, however we were guided through the legalisation process and purchasing using Kiki as our power of attorney, Everything was smooth and faultless, very happy with the service we received and the property, can’t wait to get to bulgaria to see our forever home project. Thank you very much Kiki.
