Two Bulgarian Airports among the Best in Eastern Europe
According to a recently published ranking that presents world’s best airports, the Bulgarian airports in the cities of Varna and Sofia pertain to the top ten in Eastern Europe in 2015 and they hold the 10th and the 7th positions, respectively.The first position is held by the airport in Budapest followed by the airports in the cities of Talin, Kiev, Riga, Belgrade and Tbilisi. The next positions are taken by the airports in Bratislava and Skopje.
The awards are adjudged on the base of the results of an inquiry of many passangers from all over the world. The list that includes all these airports is made according to 39 criteria among which are: accommodation, arrival, transfers, shopping, safety etc.
The director of the Sofia Airport announced on the local media that direct flights from the Bulgarian capital city to Chicago are about to become possible in April. He added that foreign companies have already shown their interest in starting long-haul flights to and from Sofia.
