The village is small, harbouring around 500 inhabitants, who earn their living mainly by selling vegetables. The village itself is located on both shores of Malki Lom River, making it ideal for fishing, not to mention hunting, due to the surrounding thick forests. All kind of facilities are provided - shops, a medical centre as well as regular bus transport to its municipality in the town of Tsar Kaloyan and to the nearby cities Rousse, Razgrad etc. Only 7 km north-east from the village is the main road Rousse – Varna, passing through the city of Shoumen.

Here, you’ll be surrounded by beautiful nature and more important, you’ll be stress-free. Other than that, Kostandenets offers great opportunities for rural and cultural tourism, recreation and a great idea of what used to be a non-polluted and unexplored land.
The village is located in northeastern Bulgaria, occupies the eastern part of the Danube plain, between the two banks of the Malki Lom river. It is approximately 8 km from Tsar Kaloyan and 48 km from Ruse. It is believed that in the past, Emperor Constantine the Great, in order to strengthen the northern border of the Roman Empire, built a number of small fortresses on the Danube River and the Malki Lom River.

This house has great potential. The population of the village is 300 people.

Bucharest Airport is 105 km away.

CITY OF RUSE

The city of Ruse is the fifth largest city in Bulgaria with a population of 166,991 people. Ruse is located in the northeastern part of the country, on the right bank of the Danube River, opposite the Romanian city of Giurgiu, about 300 km from the capital of Bulgaria and 200 km from the Black Sea. It is the most significant Bulgarian river port and plays an important role in the country's international trade.
Rousse is also famous for its neo-baroque and neo-rococo architecture from the 19th and 20th centuries, which attracts many tourists. The Ruse-Giurgevo bridge connects the two countries, providing easy and fast access.

NATURE PARK RUSENSKI LOM

The natural park Rusenski Lom is located approximately 20 km south of Ruse. The park got its name from the river Lom, which is the last right tributary of the Danube. Rusenski Lom Nature Park is famous for its flora, which counts 877 species (23% of Bulgaria's flora), 30 Balkan and endemic species and 1 Bulgarian endemic species among them. Endemic plants form 3.4% of all plants in the park. More than 22 species of fish can be found in Ruse Lom. The park is proud of 192 species of birds and 70 species of mammals, out of a total of 100 breeds on the territory of Bulgaria. An incredible panorama is revealed from all the hills of the Nature Park Ruseński Lom. It encompasses the endless curves of the river valley, the forest and the wild beauty of the rocks, as well as the remains of the old forts. Among the most famous panoramas is the one that is revealed from the heights of the village of Cherven.
The city of Cherven was founded during the Second Bulgarian Kingdom (13-14th century) and was one of the largest military, administrative and economic centers of the country.
