The ancient St. Atanasii Monastery stands to the south-west of the village, at the foot of a steep hill, on a plateau on the right waterside of the river of Starata Reka. Furthermore, the monastery boasts a thermal spring. The Monastery is the eldest one in Eastern Europe.
