The village is in northeastern Bulgaria, part of Valchi Dol Municipality, Varna District. It is located 60 km from Varna, 30 km from Dobrich and 20 km from Valchi Dol. The village is one of the oldest villages in Bulgaria. It was founded in 1573 and in 2003, the village celebrates 430 years since its establishment.
The village has a vocational school of agriculture and forestry, primary school, community center, kindergarten, doctor's office, post office, town hall, grocery stores, restaurant, cafe.
The village is fully supplied with water and electricity. The roads are in good condition and new asphalts have been laid. There is a daily bus transport connecting the village with Varna, Valchi Dol and the surrounding villages.
