One kilometer northeast of Krapets is the Durankulash Lake. With its abundance of whitefish, carp, crabs, bream, catfish, carp and eel, the lake attracts fishing enthusiasts. It is a natural estuary by origin, being fed with karst water from two springs. Its water is slightly salty due to its connection with the sea. Its depth reaches 4 m. It is surrounded by agricultural lands, and to the east of the sea it is separated by sand dunes and a beach. The lake is located on the main migration route of migratory birds Via Pontica.

Transportation
There are daily bus lines to Krapets from Varna and Dobrich. Traveling from Sofia takes place by connecting in Varna - bus lines Sofia-V.Tarnovo-Varna and Varna-c. Hadji Dimitar - Krapets village. The road to Varna is first class and leads north all the way to the Romanian border.
