It began during the Turkish occupation, at the end of the 15th century by Jemal Bey. After the campaigns of Vladislav Varnenchik in 1443-1444, the Turkish Sultan Murad II came to the conclusion that in order to facilitate the defense of the empire, the settlement of Turks in northern and northeastern Bulgaria should begin. To this end, he issued an order for settlement in these lands. According to Turkish documents, Turks from Kurdistan are coming to northeastern Bulgaria. In the land of the village of Pchelnik / Kovanlak / Jamal Bey located his bee families, which gives the name to the village.

I first found this company on the internet and found the site really easy to understand and gave me alot of information! I arranged to go over for a viewing trip in November 2010 with a friend as my husband couldnt make it.
